Dear Friends,
Malibu Scuba Repair would like to thank you for your continued support and patronage. I would like to introduce myself as I have acquired Malibu Scuba Repair from my mentor Glynn Palmer almost a year ago. My name is Karim Hamza and I was formerly one of the owners of Hollywooddivers.
I sold my share to my partners Hal Wells and Bill Strong, and acquired MSR. We departed on excellent terms as we each pursued what we love - myself, my passion for equipment repair. To prepare for my role, I interned with Glynn a year and half prior to the acquisition of Malibu Scuba Repair. Glynn is still an integral part of MSR and he remains our technical consultant and trainer.
I started diving in 1999, launched Hollywooddivers with Hal and Bill in 2002, and became a NAUI, PADI, SDI, and TDI instructor. Later, I became a GUE instructor and achieved instructor trainer and instructor examiner (course director) statuses. I am an avid cave and tech diver - my love for exploration has led me to be involved in many cutting-edge projects such as the Mars Project, SS Tahoe, and Low Mix Hoover Dam Project, just to name a few. I am heavily involved with ghost clean-up projects locally and abroad.
One thing has not changed: Malibu Scuba Repair services most brand of regulators. We are also expanding our services to include drysuit repair including seal, zipper, valve, and boot replacement, suspender repairs, leak tests, and installation of replacement seal systems, amongst others. We will perform quality repairs on any drysuit brand, and are Factory Certified by both DUI and Santi. We also perform warranty work for select manufacturers.
We now repair canister lights (light cord replacement, E/O cord upgrades, battery burn tests, etc.). Finally, we are now the only Level 1 service center for SUEX dive propulsion vehicles on the West Coast. In time, we will service other major brands of dive propulsion vehicles and other similar equipment.

Personalized Scuba Instruction is available for Beginner through the Instructor level, including Speciality training, First Aid training, and DAN Diving Safety training.
